Analysis of DISC

I feel the test is pretty much guaged my management orientation. The test shows that i am a Cs type person. Indeed, i feel that i am a person that do things analytically, according to the structures, want things to be organize, like to perform things in a consistent way, just work to the standard.

Actually, i'm comfortable the way that i am right now. I don't want to be another type such as the D, the dominant type because that would not be me anymore. As a D type person, she has to make quick decisions, accept new challenges, etc, which is directly opposite of me. I know that if i want to be a D type person, then i will able to become the D type person. It is just that I will be very uncomfortable and obtained a lot of pressure. Thus i never think of becoming another type when i'm not the type.

By looking at the personality type of people, it is not a good way to understand where people are coming from. Like me, for instance, i am from China, and i am a Cs type person. That does not mean that all Chinese are this type person. Also, i feel this test can't really help me in other personal interactions because i be friends with all different people with different personalities.

Registration Problem

I don't know if just me, or other students have the problems when they register for their courses. I often encounter problems when i register for higher level classes. For instance, this November 11, i had to register for the BPL class for my next semester's course. However, I couldn't do it because they said that i have to file the graduation form first, in order to take that class. Before that day, no one informed me anything about that. I then had to go to the advisement department, they told me that i had to go to the registrar to fill up the form. So i had to go to the registrar, and there was a long long line. Most students were like me who had problem on registering the BPL course, and they don't get inform either that they have to file the graduation form first for taking that class.

I feel this is ridiculous about the Baruch's management about the courses. I mean they have all the students e-mail address, they should send out a mail or some other way to tell the students about it, not until the last moment that we have to find out ourselve, and then able to register.

Not only that, after i filled the graduation form, i asked the lady who works there about how long i would be able to register the course, and the lady told me that after two hours i would be okay to register. The time i went to her was about 1:30pm. But the time that i able to register was around the midnight of that day. I was worried that i still couldn't register the course or maybe the course that i wanted to take was being taking over by other seniors. Fortunately, the course was still available when i was able to register.

However, the point is that Baruch should inform us about this first. Not until we have to come to them to know about it.

Vision of Future

The vision that i have about my future is that I may be an accountant or a financial analyst or just self-investment. After I am tired about working, then i would just be an ordinary housewife, take care of my family. Right now, I am majoring in Finance. At the same time, i am doing an internship in an accounting firm. So far, I feel i like both, Finance and Accounting. I am thinking to take an intership for Finance in the last sememster, to see which one do i really like.
