Our group had a successful result on the project. We had gone through all of the steps in the planning process.
First, we defined our goals and objectives, which was to unbreak the egg when we dropped from a ten feet high place, using any method as long as there was 50% of the egg uncovered by the given resources. The given resources were eight straws, an egg, a limited tape, and a scissor.
We came up three different ideas on how to build the egg. We then talked about the ideas, and discussed which idea was most likely not to break the egg. Finally, we chose Mira's proposal, the pyramid shape. Her idea was that the egg was been protected in the middle of the pyramid, no matter which way it hit the floor, the egg would not touch the floor, thus won't break. Unlike our ideas that all had a 50% of opportunity that the uncovered side of the egg may hit on the floor.
It was very difficult to understand how to build the model from the picture she drew. So then she used the pens to roughly showed us the structures of the model. From the model, we clearly visioned the structures that we needed six straws to build the outside of the pyramid-three straws for the heights and three straws for the bases. The other two straws we needed to cut them into half, this was the only time that we needed the scissor. This four half-sized straws were for the inside of the pyramid, where we supported the egg in the center by connecting it into the four different corners.
There were six people in our group. For the model, we needed a designer, a writter, a dropper, a person to get the scissor, and two people to build the designed model. Becasue of the time limit, at the end, almost all of us were helping to set up the model. Finally we built up the model within the given time.
I think our performance is effective because we shared our ideas and listened to other people's ideas, then chose the best one, and we used all the resources given effectively within the limited time.
I feel our planning task is very effective, and i don't see anything that i can make corrections from. Maybe someone can tell me what can we do to make our group task more effectively.

You guys had an ingenious plan. When I saw the pyramid shaped egg contraption I was amazed. I would also give credit to you guys for making the vision a reality in ten minutes. To me, the contraption required crafty works. Congrats on your super job.
Indeed your group was very effective and efficient. The design that your group came up with was almost exactly the design that I had conceived of (I'm still impressed by the coincidence); however, our group decided to abandon the design because we figured it would take too much time to construct. You guys actually managed to construct it--bravo!
The only way you could possibly be more effective is by asking for outside opinions which you have done in this blog. If I were an outside "consultant" for your "business" I would probably not be paid because you don't need any improvements...Just be aware that your approach may be flawless for one project, but every project requires a "tailor-made" plan.
It's good that your egg didn't break. However, our group had a different result, our egg broke a little. Actually we did follow the planning process, but it just came out with a different result. I think there was a calculation mistake happening, or the idea that we had was not right?
You guys had a very good plan. It worked well! It's good that everyone had assigned tasks...isn't crazy how at the end everyone kind of overlapped in their execution?! Congrats on your contraption...it was very entertaining to watch.
Your pyramid was really a well-put together piece of art. It is obvious that you guys had a superb planning team made up of creative, skilled and crafty individuals and your organized yourselves quickly with the limited time and resources you had...Job well done!
